Authentic Charcoal Tandoori Ovens are heavy in weight thus last very long and due to the heavy insulation conserve a lot of fuel. Unlike the standard ovens available our tandoors are more than twice the weight. Each tandoor is a double body tandoor with double insulation. i.e. there are two metal bodies one covering the other with a ceramic sandwich insulation in between. This is done to handle the high heat of charcoal running for very long hours and the very thick clay pot requires a lot of weight management. Our clay pots are double the thickness than standard made clay pots in EU. A large restaurant tandoor oven weighs about 350 Kilograms. This is one reason that they are more durable.
