Tarka Dhall
- Twice the amount of water to one amount of lentils.
- 1 cupped hand full of red lentils per person. Recipe 4 portions.
- 1/2 onion finely chopped lengthways.
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
- 1 tablespoon of oil bring to heat, add onion and fry till just before burning.
- Add garlic keep stirring, for about a minute, remove from heat and leave to rest .
- Chop a hand full of fresh coriander .
- Just before serving add the coriander, onion and garlic to the dhall, Job done
- Optional 4 red tine chilli’s.
- If the dhall is to thick add water.
